OSLO is a 288-unit multi-family complex in Fairburn, Georgia, with 4,000 square feet of retail space composed of five three- and four-story wood-framed buildings with stone and fiber cement siding. Units are offered in one-, two-, and three-bedroom open-concept layouts to fit the lifestyle of each resident.

Apartment features include shaker-style cabinets with granite countertops and French-door refrigerators in the kitchens and tile tub/shower surrounds in the bathrooms. Each unit integrates vinyl plank flooring in the common areas and carpeted bedrooms.

With more than 7,000 square feet of amenity space, residents can enjoy a heated saltwater pool, fitness center, clubroom, pickleball courts, dog park, pet spa, and walking trail.

Construction is underway at Ellison Cool Springs, a mixed-use community in Franklin, Tennessee, that offers 332 apartment units and 15 ground-floor commercial units. Positioned on a 34-acre site, the development features three four-story wood frame buildings along with two two-story precast parking decks and five stand-alone six-bay garages.

Residents will have access to best-in-class amenities including an outdoor pool, clubroom, fitness center, podcast/recording studio, market, hospitality bar, and focus room. Additionally, one of the stand-alone garages will integrate a pet spa and car wash.

Units will be offered in one- to three-bedroom floorplans with one to two bathrooms. Select two-story live-work units will allow residents to have a storefront commercial space on the first floor. The buildings’ exteriors are designed around a dark color palette using bronze vinyl windows, bronze storefront, and a brick veneer and siding finish.

Thrive Sweet Auburn is a unique mixed-use development in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn district that provides affordable housing and support services for low-income individuals and those experiencing homelessness.

Affordable at 30 to 80 percent of Area Median Income (AMI), Thrive Sweet Auburn offers 117 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Twenty-three units are reserved as permanent supportive housing for households transitioning out of homelessness and additional units are reserved for U.S. military veterans.

Thrive Sweet Auburn offers an array of supportive services for residents and community members. The first floor serves as PCCI’s headquarters and holds offices for First Step Staffing. Other services at the development include a medical clinic, nutrition education, case management services, and a coffee shop.

Residents have access to additional amenities such as community rooms, wellness rooms, an outdoor pavilion, and a community garden.

The four-story building features podium construction with office, amenity, and parking space on the first floor and apartments on floors two through four. The exterior is comprised of an attractive mix of brick, metal panels, and fiber cement siding. The building was designed to wrap around the iconic Atlanta Coca-Cola billboard that shares the site.

The National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Bronze development integrates sustainable elements including wall, floor, and ceiling coverings/systems that do not require any finishing application, proper HVAC system sizing, high-efficiency lighting fixtures/bulbs, and insulation materials that are in accordance with CDPH/EHLB Standard Method v1.1. Additionally, the site offers easy access to public transportation and incorporates vegetation that promotes biodiversity.

Located on the site of the former Harold Ickes Homes on Chicago’s Near South Side, 23rd Place at Southbridge offers 206 mixed-income apartments and 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space across two buildings.

Approximately 50 percent of units are affordable to households earning 80 percent of Area Median Income (AMI) or less through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Units boast spacious floor plans, nine-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, and plank flooring. All units have full-size appliances and in-unit washers and dryers, and select units offer balconies.

First-floor retail units bring convenience and commerce to the surrounding community. Additionally, the Community Life Center resides on the ground floor of 2344 S. State Street.

The development includes extensive amenity space on the first and sixth floors, including lounges, a fitness center, and terraces. A new public right-of-way, 23rd Place, connects the two buildings and can be closed off to create public gathering space for community activities. Both buildings feature covered passageways to provide retail customers with convenient access to stores.

Domain CityGate is a 285-unit mixed-use multi-family development in Naperville, Illinois’, CityGate Centre. The development integrates four stories of wood-frame construction wrapped around a precast parking garage with 430 spaces. Atop the parking garage is a 38,000-square-foot rooftop event center shell. The building’s exterior features an attractive mix of brick, Hardie and Nichiha panel siding, metal panels, and glass.

The amenity-rich community offers a resident lounge with a kitchen, remote workspaces, a fitness center with a yoga room, and a bike lounge. Outside, residents can enjoy a pool with poolside cabanas, a pergola, grills, fire pits, a private pickleball court, and a dog run.

McShane Construction Company provided the construction services for Option Care, a 50,000-square-foot, build-to-suit facility in Itasca, Illinois for developer, Quadrangle Development Company. The single-story building holds office, warehouse and medical treatment spaces for Option Care Health, one of the nation’s leading providers of home infusions.

McShane performed the construction of the building shell as well as the interior buildout for the tenant. The facility is situated on a 7.37-acre lot and will feature brick masonry with stone window and parapet wall accents.

Inside, the building features office, conference room and collaboration space for employees, a treatment area for patients receiving infusions, two clean rooms, a showroom, multiple pharmacy prep areas and warehouse-style storage.

McShane Construction Company completed GlenStar O’Hare Office Building, a 150,000-square-foot multi-story office facility on behalf of developer, GlenStar Properties, located on a 3.5-acre site in Chicago, Illinois.

The eight-story office facility was constructed on a greenfield site near O’Hare International Airport and features precast concrete construction with ribbon windows on top of a four-foot mat foundation. The first three floors and partial fourth floor of the building encompass structured parking with floors five through eight featuring open office areas. The total parking count for the development is 628 spaces.

Sitework completed by McShane included surface parking, driveways, landscaping, a pond featuring a retaining wall with glass guardrail, outdoor seating and an elegant fountain.

McShane Construction Company completed the general construction services for Trumpf Smart Factory, a 56,297-square-foot build-to-suit office and showroom facility located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The facility features a glass curtainwall and corten steel panel rainscreen exterior with a central courtyard encompassing decorative stone and shade trees for employees and visitors.

The single and multi-story facility includes a 31,171-square-foot showroom area with 150′ clear span custom truss system fabricated by Trumpf machine equipment, allowing visitors to observe live sheet metal production. A custom-made catwalk with a balcony spans the mezzanine area of the showroom to feature production processes from above.

A 25,126-square-foot office area includes an auditorium, open and private offices and multimedia room.

Aurora Arts Center is an adaptive reuse project in downtown Aurora, Illinois. McShane Construction Company oversaw the entire renovation, which involved transforming an 80,000-square-foot historic building into a 25,000-square-foot school for performing arts, 8,000 square feet of rehearsal space for the Paramount Theatre, a 4,000-square-foot restaurant, 38 apartments designed to support working artists and four guest apartments for Paramount Theatre performers. The space also includes flex and dance studios, rehearsal rooms, locker rooms, collaboration space for artists and a gallery for artists to host their exhibitions.

McShane Construction Company was selected by developers, The Community Builders, Skilken and Troy Enterprises, to complete a new 41,000-square-foot Walmart Neighborhood Market at 47th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market, located within The Shops and Lofts at 47 mixed-use development, features a full grocery department, including organic and natural selections, prepared food options, fresh-baked breads, a self-serve deli, a bakery and a full-service pharmacy. The market also incorporates two truck docks, an 18′ clear height, burnished concrete floors and on-site parking for 85 vehicles.

McShane also provided the construction services for this 202,000-square-foot mixed-use development that includes 72 apartment units and 54,000 square feet of retail space.
